Synopsis
“I wanted to give women a ministry in the Church, the ministry of Charity…” said Saint Vincent de Paul. This year, the AIC is celebrating its 400th anniversary! With more than 2000 volunteers in France and 200,000 in the world, the legacy of St. Vincent de Paul continues to act against poverty. Made up of women, lay Christians and volunteers, formerly called the Ladies of Charity, the AIC now welcomes more than 160,000 people a year. This is an opportunity to better discover this network of women and their place in welcoming, accompanying and supporting vulnerable people.
